Real Salt Lake vs. New York Red Bulls |
Kino North Stadium | Tucson, Arizona |
Wednesday, Feb. 13 – 6 PM ET |
After a resounding 5-1 win over Phoenix Rising Sunday, the New York Red Bulls continue their preseason preparations when they meet Real Salt Lake in the 2019 Mobile Mini Sun Cup as part of Preseason presented by Advocare at Kino North Stadium in Tucson Wednesday evening.
New York Red Bulls
With the usual starting XI getting extended minutes for the first time this preseason, the Red Bulls rolled over Phoenix Rising Sunday. Bradley Wright-Phillips powered New York with a hat trick, while also setting up goals by Kaku and Alex Muyl.
Those starters will likely again see extended time against RSL with the game serving as the Red Bulls last true Concacaf Champions League tuneup before they head to the Dominican Republic on Feb. 18 ahead of the Round of 16 opening leg against Atlético Pantoja two days later. One player who will not compete is their newest signing. Mathias Jorgensen is not in Arizona as he awaits his ITC and Visa.

Real Salt Lake
Newly-minted Designated Player Sam Johnson made his debut and Julian Vazquez had a sweet strike in a 3-1 loss to Japanese J2 League club V-Varen Nagasaki in the final of the Pacific Rim Cup.
