Although many, including most of Cristiano Ronaldo’s former teammates, were surprised when he announced he was leaving Real Madrid, one of his ex-Los Blancos colleagues has now revealed he knew about the Portuguese forward’s departure before he told the rest of the world.

Following Real’s 3-1 win over Liverpool in last season’s UEFA Champions League final, Ronaldo shocked almost everyone when he publicly stated he would be moving on.
Many were taken aback by the forward’s revelation, expect for Marcelo, who has now admitted that Ronaldo told him before the final in Kiev about his decision to leave.
“Damn, we were training for the final and he told me: ‘I’m leaving,’” Marcelo said, according to the Daily Express.
“Yes, I had to lie (that I didn’t know at the time).”

Since joining Juventus, Ronaldo has scored 20 goals and assisted a further 10 strikes in 31 matches across all competitions.
