Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will leave the Premier League club but rejects the notion it will be to join Neymar and Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain.
The Belgium international has 18 months remaining on his contract and has been linked with both Real Madrid and Paris St Germain and admits an off-season departure from Stamford Bridge is possible.
“I have one year left in June. If I don’t extend, it [a move] is possible,” Hazard told Canal Plus.
“I can’t see myself leaving in January. I wouldn’t do that to the club, to the fans.
“Next summer it’s a possibility, but it’s also possible that I spend the rest of my career at Chelsea.
“I had contacts with PSG, but it did not tempt me. I have always said that if I came back to Ligue 1 it would be to Lille,” he said when asked about returning to Ligue 1.
The 27-year-old who’s scored seven goals and registered four assists for the Blues this season also weighed in on the level of France’s top flight.
“In terms of the level of Ligue 1, PSG walk it each weekend,” he added. “When they play in the Champions’ League, they think maybe that it will be easy.
“But I think that they struggle. I don’t like to judge Ligue 1 but it is true that, when I see PSG, yes it seems too easy.”
