Seven sides have already qualified, but there is plenty more still to be decided as the UEFA Europa League group stage begins to draw to a close. Join us as 41 teams – seven have been eliminated – continue their quest to lift the heaviest of the UEFA club competition trophies on Thursday.
UEFA.com is providing updates on social media and in our MatchCentres during all of this season’s UEFA Europa League games, with highlights to follow from 12:00CET the day after every matchnight. Oh, and don’t miss Daniel Candeias’s stunning goal from matchday four right here.
- Maurizio Sarri has won all ten UEFA Europa League group stage matches he has overseen as a coach (six with Napoli, four with Chelsea); to confirm top spot in Group L, Chelsea need only avoid defeat at home to PAOK, who will be eliminated if they return a worse result than Vidi manage at BATE.
- Unbeaten in Europe this term (W3 D1), Arsenal will top Group E with victory at Vorskla, who must win and hope Sporting do not to stay in contention.
- Rangers tasted a first European defeat under Steven Gerrard at Spartak Moskva last time out; if they lose at home to Villarreal, who will qualify with a win, and Spartak beat Rapid Wien in Group G’s early kick-off, the Ibrox side will be out.
- Fenerbahçe host already-qualified Dinamo Zagreb and will qualify with a win; a point secures top spot for the Croatian champions.
- Astana have never topped a group in UEFA competition – the Kazakh champions will do just that if they triumph at home against Dynamo Kyiv, who themselves will be through with a victory.
- Beşiktaş reached the UEFA Champions League round of 16 last season, but will be eliminated if they lose at European debutants Sarpsborg.
- Betis will reach the knockout stages for the first time since 2014 if they overcome Olympiacos in Seville.
