Lille’s Nicolas Pepe: who is he?
Nicolas Pepe, an Ivory Coast international, has been on fire for Lille this season in Ligue 1.
Pepe, 23, is under contract at Lille until 2022.
Earlier this season the likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Everton were linked to the attacker by RMC Sport.
Lille are second in the French top flight behind PSG.
Pepe has been the star player scoring eight goals in 12 matches.
It’s worth noting that five of those goals have come from the penalty spot.
Pepe has chipped in with seven assists in the league as well.

Man City & Nicolas Pepe
According to the Sunday Times, Man City are in the market to sign Pepe.
Duncan Castles reports the following:
Manchester City have inquired about the availability of Ivory Coast forward Nicolas Pepe as the Premier League champions look for options to further strengthen their record-breaking attack.
While City are currently well stocked in the second line of their attack, Pep Guardiola and Txiki Begiristain are conscious that Raheem Sterling has yet to be formally secured to a new contract, and that Leroy Sane remains dissatisfied with his situation at the club.
The Sunday Times hang a 44 million pound price tag around Pepe’s head.
What the Times don’t say about Pepe
Back in August Pepe told Telefoot that he has no intention of leaving Lille in the January transfer window.
Pepe told Telefoot “I’m not leaving” when he was asked about the next step in his career. He also said:
I talked a lot with my advisers. I spoke with (director of football) Luis Campos who brought me to LOSC. Also with my family that counts a lot for me, and also with the coach who trusts me.
It was important to talk to him. I decided to continue at LOSC to accomplish a big mission.
