Guingamp and Strasbourg settled for a share of the spoils after playing to a 1-1 draw in Ligue 1.

Lebogang Mothiba was handed a start after his scoring exploits against AS Monaco last weekend, while Lebogang Phiri started on the bench for the hosts.

Strasbourg had aspirates of edging closer to the top six, as they entered the encounter with three wins in their last five league encounters.

Guingamp, who were searching for a returning to winning ways, got off the perfect star when Nicolas Benezet found the back of the net after six minutes.

Strasbourg were unable to find an equaliser in the first half, but they afforded the chance in the 77th minute from the penalty spot.

Kenny Lala, who already has two goals this season, stepped up but failed to convert from 12-yards out.

However, Strasbourg did manage to level matters in the 88th minute thanks to a strike Lucien Zohi as the spoils were shared on the night.

Mothiba’s countryman, Phiri, was an unused substitute for Guingamp.
