UEFA Champions League Group F, Matchday 3

 TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 3 – 3 Olympique Lyonnais

Julian Nagelsmann (Hoffenheim coach): “I’m happy we got this third goal and secured a point, it’s very important for our chances of qualifying. We played a great game and dominated the first half apart from the opening ten minutes. We conceded three home goals which we could have avoided, but overall I’m happy and will be able to get the team ready for the return fixture.”

Bruno Génésio (Lyon coach): “It’s a mixed feeling. We’re frustrated and disappointed that we didn’t manage to hold onto all three points until the end. We started well and were able to dominate, but the second goal we conceded just after half-time hurt us. It is not our style to sit back and defend, though. We’re a team that’s meant to play. We still have our destiny in our own hands, though, so it’s a positive result.”
