MLS assist leader? Check? Czech Republic’s new captain? Check. Borek Dockal‘s 2018 just keeps getting better.
The Philadelphia Union‘s No. 10 will wear the captain’s armband for Czech Republic’s next two games, both UEFA Nation’s League games against Slovakia and Ukraine.

Dockal has five goals and a league-leading 17 assists in 29 games this season as the Union have already clinched playoff qualification and earned their most points in a season in club history.
Prior to joining the Union this year, Dockal had previous stints at Czech giants Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague, and Norwegian titans Rosenborg among more than 350 professional appearances. He’s scored 79 goals and contributed 93 assists outside of MLS, and also has 35 caps and six international goals.
