PSG join Red Devils in race for Juventus full-back Alex Sandro

MANCHESTER UNITED reportedly face stern competition from Paris Saint-Germain for the signing of Juventus defender Alex Sandro.

The 27-year-old has established himself as one of the world’s top left-backs after joining from Porto for £23million in 2015.

According to French news outlet Le 10 Sport, PSG have identified the Brazilian international as their number one target.

They claim that the player has strong relations with the club’s sporting director Antero Henrique – who he knew from his time at Porto.

Sandro recently fuelled speculation he could leave the Old Lady after he claimed he hasn’t been offered a contract extension by the Italian side.

The three-time Serie A winner is tied down in Turin until 2020, and Juve appear to be in no rush to offer him a new deal.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Sandro said: “I never thought about leaving Juventus, but I have not yet received renewal proposals.

“I still have two years in my contract and I am only focused on the present.

“Then we will see what happens.”

Sandro has started every top-flight match for the Bianconeri this season, as Massimiliano Allegri‘s side sit top of the table having won their opening five games.
