DAZN Canada pulled off a major coup in May of this year when it secured the exclusive broadcast rights in Canada for the UEFA Champions League, the Europa League, and the Super Cup for three seasons through to 2020/21.
The first broadcast was on August 15 and featured Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the 2018 UEFA Super Cup. Atletico Madrid beat city rivals Real Madrid 4-2.
However, the heavy lifting starts next Tuesday (September 18) when the group stage of the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League kicks off with eight games. The full schedule of games can be accessed by clicking on this link.
At 12:55 pm ET Inter will play Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona is at home to PSV Eindhoven. At 3:00 pm ET there are six games scheduled.
Monaco is up against Atletico Madrid, Club Brugge plays Borussia Dortmund, Napoli is away to Crvena zvezda (Red Star Belgrade), Liverpool starts with a cracking fixture against Paris Saint-Germain, Schalke 04 is up against FC Porto and Galatasaray plays Lokomotiv Moscow.
On Wednesday, DAZN Canada announced programming details in support of its game coverage and included are pre and post-matchday shows. In addition to having a choice of watching any of the matches live, subscribers will be able to take in all six games that kick off at 3:00 ET by tuning in to “Box to Box.”
DAZN’s Colin Murray will host “Box to Box” a program and concept new to Canadian soccer fans. “Box to Box” will show all the goals and key moments and incidents from the six matches running concurrently.

Over the next eight months, DAZN will exclusively stream all 138 UEFA Champions League and 205 UEFA Europa League matches in Canada.
There are more Champions League games on Wednesday, September 19 and a day later DAZN turns its attention to the Europa League. Europa League coverage includes Villarreal vs. Rangers, PAOK against Chelsea, Dudelange at home to AC Milan and Arsenal playing against Vorskla.
DAZN entered the Canadian market in 2017 after acquiring the OTT streaming rights for NFL games as well as the rights to the Red Zone.
Over the last twelve months or so, DAZN Canada has acquired streaming rights for numerous sports including baseball, ice hockey, darts, cricket, basketball, rugby, golf, tennis, snooker, MMA and boxing.
In addition to offering the UEFA Champions and Europa Leagues, DAZN Canada’s soccer offerings now include La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, J-League, EFL Championship, the former MLS Live service, and the Carabao Cup.
Matches are available live, or on delay, and highlights and condensed versions of games are also available.
DAZN will launch in the US this month with a heavyweight fight between world champion Anthony Joshua and Alexander “The Russian Warrior” Povetkin live from Wembley Stadium, London, on September 22.
