Kylian Mbappe has been hit with a three-match ban after he was sent off against Nimes
PSG won the Ligue 1 clash 4-2 but their triumph was marred in the dying stages by the French striker’s reaction to a rough challenge.
Mbappe was scythed down after darting past Savanier and immediately got to his feet and ran over to shove his foe down to the ground.
Both men were sent off for the incident, with the Nimes ace receiving a five-game ban for his tackle.
PSG boss Thomas Tuchel defended his World Cup-winning attacker after the game, saying: “He was lucky not to be seriously injured. I want him to stay calm but in a match like that, in an atmosphere like that, it’s not easy. He didn’t hit somebody, he just pushed.”
