Liverpool ‘make contact’ with Adrien Rabiot’s mum and agent over his future

LIVERPOOL have made contact with the mother and agent of PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to reports.

ESPN claim that the Reds have enquired about the availability of Rabiot – whose contract runs out at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has already attracted interest from Barcelona – and according to Mundo Deportivo he has his hearts sight on a move to the Nou Camp next summer.

However, Rabiot, may have second thoughts over that move after hearing of Liverpool’s interest.

Rabiot, who is yet to agree a new deal at the Parc des Princes after rejecting several offers, is a huge admirer of the Reds.

In an interview with RMC last year he said: “I would love to play in the Premier League.

“I was very fond of  Liverpool when I was young.”

Jurgen Klopp is a long-term admirer of Rabiot and even tried to sign him when he was manager of Borussia Dortmund.

The Reds are very interested in a move for Rabiot – but preferably want to land him on a free.

In that case it could a waiting game for Liverpool, as they square off with the Spanish giants, and potential other suitors, for his signature.

He will of course be able to sign on a free transfer for another club for next season when the transfer window reopens in January.
