Ghanaian striker Grejohn Kyei is targetting promotion to French top-flight in his debut season with second-tier side RC Lens.
Kyei joined the Blood and Gold lads from Stade de Reims in the final embers of the summer transfer window.
He made his debut for RC Lens in their 2-0 defeat against FC Metz in the French Ligue 2 over the weekend, replacing Cheick Doucouré at the 78th minute of the match.
“It’s a club that must play in Ligue 1,” He said. “It is very well known in the media, sportingly, at the level of the charts … When one has a stage of Ligue 2 and that it makes 30.000 supporters, it is not everywhere not that we can see that, even in Ligue 1 it’s difficult. When they won against ESTAC Troyes, it was the best crowd of the weekend! We can not see it everywhere, it’s not a club like any other.”
“It gives us chills, an audience that pushes its players, it’s the twelfth man. Even in the field, we do not get along, and it gives us a plus to go to the efforts that remain to us.”
