Christian Madu joins Nacional from Enugu Rangers

CD Nacional have signed midfielder Christian Madu from Enugu Rangers, the Portuguese club have confirmed.

The 25-year-old has joined the Madeira-based outfit on a four-year deal according to a statement on the club’s website.

He joins a considerable African contingent at the Estadio da Madeira, with Mozambique’s Witi, Okacha Hamzaoui of Algeria and Cameroonian goalkeeper Ohoulo Fremlin having turned out for the club recently.

The defensive midfielder was a feature in the NPFL-winning team of 2016 as Rangers ended their three-decade wait for a Nigerian title.

Nacional have started their Portuguese top-flight campaign poorly, with two defeats in their opening two fixtures.
