THIERRY HENRY has taken a step closer towards being named as Bordeaux manager — as Gus Poyet held a 10-minute meeting with the club ahead of his likely dismissal.
The Uruguayan was suspended for a week by president Stephane Martin and mentioned “formalities” as he left the training centre, according to AFP.

The Ligue 1 club’s president Martin had left the door open for a resolution with Poyet, but the moment for that appears to have passed.
