With only a few transfer windows still open around Europe, clubs in England only have so many places to try and offload their unwanted players, or players who don’t want to be there (there’s a difference).
Badou Ndiaye falls into the category of the latter, since the Senegalese midfielder was signed by Stoke last January, meaning any exit desire is coming from the player’s end.
According to RMC Sport in France, the Potters’ man was recently offered to Marseille, who are currently in the process of trying to replace André-Franck Zambo Anguissa, whom they sold to Fulham on transfer deadline day for €30m.
Stoke are the ones who are said to have offered the player around, most likely trying to get the player off their wage bill following their relegation from the Premier League last season.
The 27-year-old has only featured for 63 minutes in England’s second tier so far this season, appearing in the campaign’s opener, a 3-1 loss to Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds, only to disappear from Gary Rowett’s first-team since.
As well as Marseille, Galatasaray have recently been linked with a move with the Stoke City midfielder, hoping to bring him back to the club he left in January.
