‘Salah all the way’ – Twitter backs Liverpool star for Uefa Men’s Player of the Year

On Monday, the Reds star became the first African footballer to make the final shortlist for the best player in Europe

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named in the final three-man shortlist for the 2017-18 Uefa Men’s Player of the Year.

The Egyptian winger who provided 10 goals and five assists in 13 Champions League outings last season will battle Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid’s Luka Modric for the prestigious award.

Salah enjoyed a sensational debut campaign with 44 goals across all competitions and becomes the first Premier League player to make the final selection since 2011.

The winner will be announced at the 2018-19 Champions League group stage draw in Monaco on August 30.

But here’s how the social media has reacted to the inclusion of the 2017 African Footballer of the Year.
