Poyet claimed Les Girondins flogged Laborde without him even knowing — and he only found out when the player did not turn up before last night’s match.

Bordeaux beat Ukrainian side Mariupol 2-1 last night, which saw them progress in the Europa League qualifiers.

But Poyet launched a vicious tirade against his employers and claimed they have refused to back him in the transfer market.

He said: “I am not happy today. This is my worst day at this club.

“It’s a disgrace what the club has done today with Gaetan Laborde. I told the club he could not leave until we bought another player.

“They did not listen and let Laborde go.

“We arrived at the hotel today at 11:45 and Laborde was not there. We called him and he was in Montpellier.

“Nobody told me anything!

“I am going to speak to my agent tomorrow and make a decision.”

Former Brighton and Sunderland manager Poyet took charge of Bordeaux in January, with the club finishing 38 points behind champions PSG in sixth.

But the club have also sold star man Malcom to Barcelona for £36million over the summer.

Then during his rant, the Bordeaux press officer attempted to intervene, saying: “We will stop there.”

Only for Poyet to cut in and say: “No, no, I stop when I want, not when you want.

“I want public explanations and they tell the truth. I ask for respect and professionalism, no more. And if there is none, it’s over.”

After their 5-2 aggregate win over Mariupol, Bordeaux now face Gent in the final qualifying round of the Europa League, after heading to Toulouse on Sunday in Ligue 1.

He added: “It’s a shame what they have done to me, the players, the fans. I cannot accept that.

“I need explanations from the owners and the president. When they explain this to me we’ll see if I continue.

“I do not care about the Bordeaux leaders who speak behind my back, they try to kill me from behind.

“It’s up to them to talk to you.”
