Griezmann, 27, has played his entire professional career to date in Spain, first at Sociedad alongside Vela, and since 2014 with Atlético. While Griezmann has linked himself to an MLS move here, he’s been the subject of numerous transfer rumors in recent years, most recently to Manchester United and then Barcelona, moves that have yet to come to pass.
For his part, when Vela was signed by LAFC in the summer of 2017 ahead of the expansion team’s first season, he immediately hinted at bringing his friend Griezmann to the club, one day.
