SAO PAULO — Peru striker Paolo Guerrero has signed a three-year deal with Internacional, the Brazilian club said on Sunday.
Guerrero, who captained Peru in their qualification campaign for the Russia World Cup, joined the Porto Alegre side after three years with Flamengo.
The 34-year old, whose former clubs also include Bayern Munich, Hamburg and Corinthians, missed much of this year after testing positive for a cocaine byproduct.
His ban was lifted shortly before the World Cup and Guerrero played in all three of Peru’s matches.
