MINSK, 3 August (BelTA) – Two Belarusian football clubs have advanced to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League, BelTA has learned.
Dinamo Minsk defeated Dunajska Streda (Slovakia) 4-1 on the home ground. In the first leg Minsk came out victorious 3-1. Dinamo Minsk will next meet Zenit.
Pavel Nekhaychik’s last-gasp goal sent Dinamo Brest, the 2017-18 Belarus Cup winner, through 5-4 overall. In the first leg the Belarusian team edged Atromitos (Greece) 4-3. Dinamo Brest will face Apollon in the third qualifying round.
Shakhtyor Soligorsk lost to Lech in Poznan 1-3. Christian Gytkjaer’s hat-trick ensured the Polish team advance after extra time. Lech will next meet Genk (Belgium).
The matches of the third qualifying round are scheduled for 9 and 16 August.
