The transfer window is open, and Transfer Talk has the latest rumours making the rounds. Follow along with our daily blog throughout the summer.

When does the transfer window close in the Premier League and the top European leagues?

TOP STORY: Chelsea plot Ramsey bid

Chelsea are ready to make a £30 million bid for Aaron Ramsey, the Mail reports, with the Welsh midfielder’s Arsenal contract down inside 12 months to run.

The Blues will test the Gunners’ resolve after enduring a distraction last season when Alexis Sanchez — who would later join Manchester United in January — and Mesut Ozil started the campaign in the final year of their contracts.

Ramsey, 27, scored 11 times in all competitions last season and Unai Emery will be desperate to keep hold of his midfield talisman.

Aaron Ramsey’s contract expires at the end of the 2018-19 season.

But as Sanchez proved, Arsenal are not adverse to selling to their rivals when backed into a corner, and Ramsey has not given encouraging signs yet that he will extend his 10-year stay at the Emirates.

Juve demand cash deal for Higuain

Juventus will not deal Gonzalo Higuain to AC Milan on loan, according to Corriere dello Sport, after reports of a big-money temporary switch.

Higuain has been strongly linked to the San Siro, with talk of a €15m loan fee, but the report states that the Rossoneri must pay cash in a permanent deal now.

It will not just be a sizeable fee as the Old Lady want €30m and former centre-back Leonardo Bonucci to sell the Argentinian striker.

After initial speculation of Mattia Caldara being included in a swap for Bonucci, the initial thought on this proposal appears to favour the champions.

United plot Mina move

Manchester United are plotting a move for Yerry Mina, the Sun reports, which suggests a deal for Harry Maguire is not likely before the end of the window.

The report claims that United will bid £35m for the Barcelona defender, who only moved to the Camp Nou in January from Palmeiras.

Barca can cash in on the 23-year-old just six months after paying just £10.5m following a fine World Cup in Russia.

Tap-ins

Steven N’Zonzi has said “yes” to Roma after speculation linking the World Cup winner with Arsenal and Barcelona, according to Corriere dello Sport. The Italian outlet reports that the Sevilla star has agreed a four-year deal and that Alessandro Florenzi will extend his contact at the Stadio Olimpico. But Gianluca Di Marzio writes that Suso is another target for the Giallorossi, with AC Milan open to selling the Spaniard.

– Barcelona have been forced to comfort Ousmane Dembele after the French forward voiced his concern at the signing of Malcom from Bordeaux, Sport reports. Barca consider then French World Cup winner “untransferable”, but his agent will fly in to hold talks over his future and seek assurances.

Danny Drinkwater is heading for the Chelsea exit with Southampton, Crystal Palace and Leicester keen on the midfielder, according to the Mirror. The Blues paid £35m for the midfielder last year, but Drinkwater has failed to prove himself at the Bridge, and a loan deal looks probable before the deadline.

– Napoli’s latest full-back target is Bayer Leverkusen’s Benjamin Henrichs, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. Inter Milan were also keen, but appear set to prioritise and close a deal for Sime Vrsaljko from Atletico Madrid. Santiago Arias was a previous target, but Atletico appear set to win the race for PSV’s Colombia star, while Napoli have cooled interest in Youssouf Sabaly due to an injury.
