In Sunday’s lone contest, red-hot Minnesota United forward Darwin Quintero accounted for a goal and two helpers in a 5-1 rout of visiting LAFC. In his weekend review, Armchair Analyst Matt Doyle noted that the Loons have a three-game win streak for the first time in their MLS history largely because the whole attack has risen to meet Quintero’s level. Derby draws at Houston, RSL
Mauro Manotas scored for the eighth time in his last eight games across all competitions to rally home side Houston to a 1-1 draw against Texas rivals FC Dallas. RECAP

Impact share points in Portland
Montreal posted another strong result this weekend by battling form side Portland to a 2-2 away draw at Providence Park. Is more help on the way for the Impact, who are on a 6-1-1 tear? Exports: Pulisic wows ’em in Charlotte
Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic put on quite a display in Sunday’s 3-1 International Champions Cup win against Liverpool in Charlotte. His side was dominated for much of the game, but Pulisic turned the game after halftime by striking the equalizer from the spot, burying the winner on a break and forcing the rebound that served up the capper.
