According to Sky Sports football expert Graham Hunter, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is ‘obsessed’ with Paris Saint Germain winger Neymar.
After Portuguese talisman Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in a stunning move for Serie A champions Juventus, there will be a massive void left to fill at the Santiago Bernabeu. The star winger helped Madrid to three consecutive Champions League titles and after getting rid of the 33-year-old, Madrid is on the lookout for his replacement. Plenty of top class players are linked with joining the La Liga giants including Chelsea’s Eden Hazard but Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has his eyes set on one particular attacker in the form of Neymar.
The former Barcelona man is linked with a move back to Spain with joining the Catalonian club’s fiercest rivals in the form of Real Madrid. And Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is a massive admirer of the 25-year-old superstar, with some sources claiming that he is obsessed with Neymar.
Inside News-
Sky Sports pundit Graham Hunter recently spoke to Transfer Talk Podcast and revealed some plans that the 71-year-old Perez has in store this summer regarding the transfer of Neymar to the Spanish capital. “Florentino Perez is obsessed with signing Neymar. He was before Ronaldo left and it was one of the things that annoyed Ronaldo because the ruling king never likes to see a prince taking over his fiefdom.
Neymar went to Real Madrid and trained there when he was a kid, they thought they had him signed and sealed before Barcelona nipped in and convinced him, his father and Santos that it had to be Barcelona.”
Author’s Take-
I think that Real Madrid needs to sign Neymar because he is the closest replacement for Ronaldo and Perez is on the right track. Although I doubt that Neymar would come to Madrid because of his past connections with Barcelona and destroy his reputation with the Catalonians.
