After spending last season with Las Palmas and Getafe in pain’s La Liga, France international Loïc Rémy has returned to France, signing with northern club LOSC on Friday.
Loïc Rémy is back in France and set to turn out for his sixth Ligue 1 Conforama club after signing a two-year deal with LOSC on Friday evening. The 31-year-old spent the first half of last season with Las Palmas before being loaned out to Getafe in the winter transfer window, ending the 2017-18 La Liga campaign with eight goals in 23 appearances (nine in 24 in all competitions).

Rémy made his professional debut with Olympique Lyonnais, the club whose youth academy he attended, before being loaned out to RC Lens for the second half of the 2007-08 season, He then signed for OGC Nice, where 26 goals in 68 Ligue 1 Conforama matches caught the eye of Olympique de Marseille. After two and a half years at the Stade Vélodrome, the striker crossed the Channel to pursue his career in England (Queens Park Rangers, Newcastle, Chelsea et Crystal Palace). The left the Premier League for Las Palmas last summer.

Over his Ligue 1 Conforama career so far, Loïc Rémy boasts 57 goals in 164 matches, with his most prolific season coming with OM in 2010-11 (15 goals). By signing the France international (30 cap, seven goals), LOSC added a third new attacking face to coach Christophe Galtier’s squad after last week’s capture of Jonathan Bamba (AS Saint-Etienne) and Jonathan Ikoné (Paris Saint-Germain).
