Manchester United remain interested in Bordeaux forward Malcom in the summer transfer window, The Sport Review understands.
The South American forward has been a big hit in Ligue 1 since his move to Bordeuax from Brazilian club Corinthians in 2016.
Sources close to the player have told The Sport Review that Manchester United are monitoring the 21-year-old in the current transfer window.
Malcom would command a significant transfer fee given his impressive goal record in Ligue 1 since his move to France.
The Brazil Under-23 international scored 12 times in 35 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, which is a respectable return for a winger.
However, the Red Devils could be forced to act upon their interest in the coming days amid speculation linking Tottenham Hotspur with a move to sign the wonder kid.
Reports earlier this month suggested that Spurs had met with Malcom’s representatives to discuss a potential summer move to White Hart Lane ahead of the new season.
The Bordeaux number seven has wasted no time establishing himself as a fans’ favourite for Les Girondins.
Malcom made his debut for the Ligue 1 side in a 4-1 loss to AS Saint-Etienne on 7 Feburary 2016, a mere eight days after his move to the France top flight from Brazil.
His first league goal came in a 3-0 win over Lorient in his new club’s penultimate game of the 2015-16 season.
Malcom got on the score sheet in Bordeaux’s 6-2 loss to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain last term to score his first goal against the capital’s cash-rich club.
Manchester United are in the market to sign a winger this summer, with Real Madrid star Gareth Bale reported to be a target for the Red Devils should the Wales international decide to leave The Bernabeu.
The 20-time English champions have already signed Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred and FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot this summer.
