Newcastle United are reportedly one of several Premier League clubs who are chasing a deal for OGC Nice forward Alassane Plea this summer.
The Magpies have been linked for some time now and according to claims from Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, they are in a four-team race for Plea’s signature ahead of next season.

It’s claimed that Newcastle will be forced to part with a club-record fee of €30m if they are to lure Plea away from Nice, as a summer departure from France appears to be on the cards.
Plea enjoyed a strong season under Lucien Favre last term, putting his previous injury woes behind him to net an impressive total of 20 goals in all competitions.
Newcastle will face competition from elsewhere if they are to land Plea, though, as three other Premier League clubs plan respective moves for the player. West Ham, Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur are also linked with a deal.
