Jean Michael Seri’s preference would be a move to Chelsea FC this summer, according to Sky Sports News reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The 26-year-old came close to a move to La Liga side FC Barcelona last summer but a deal failed to materialise.
Seri was forced to stick it out at the Ligue 1 side for another season and the dynamic midfielder scored two goals and made five assists in 31 appearances in the French top flight.
The Ivory Coast international is attracting interest from the Premier League amid talk of Arsenal and Chelsea FC making a swoop for Seri.
Chelsea FC are also looking to improve their midfield options following a disappointing fifth-placed finish in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge.
Napoli appear to be the favourites to sign Seri in the current transfer window amid uncertainty surrounding Jorginho’s future given Manchester City’s interest.
Sky Sports News reporter Sheth revealed that Seri would prefer to move to Premier League club Chelsea FC this summer.
“If Chelsea can sort out all their problems, Seri’s preference would be Chelsea,” Sheth told the Transfer Talk podcast.
The Blues finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term to miss out on a Champions League spot for the second time in three seasons.
Chelsea FC were 1-0 winners against Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley last term.
