MANCHESTER UNITED will fight Tottenham and Chelsea in the hunt to sign highly-rated Lyon midfielder Tanguy N’Dombele, according to reports.
N’Dombele, 21, would cost the Red Devils £53million but it is believed Jose Mourinho is keen to bring the youngster in.

The France U21 international, likened to N’Golo Kante, spent last season on loan at Lyon from Amiens, impressing in his 46 appearances across all competitions.
Lyon signed N’Dombele on a permanent basis earlier this summer but Lyon would be willing to sell the player should they receive the right price, according to Le10 Sport.
If United do complete the deal, it could mean that 2016/17 Player of the Year Ander Herrera will be on his way out of Old Trafford.
Herrera is thought to be wanted by Athletic Bilbao, the club he joined the Red Devils from in 2014, in a transfer which could be worth €30million, it is reported.

But Mourinho will have to beat Tottenham and Chelsea to N’Dombele’s signature with the London clubs both believed to be interested.
Mousa Dembele could be leaving Spurs this summer and N’Dombele has been lined up as a potential replacement.
Meanwhile, across London, Kante’s future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain with Paris Saint-Germain thought to be keen on signing the two-time Premier League champion.
