West Ham and Burnley after 13 goal Ligue 1 forward, club want minimum €15m

If France Football are to be believed on Tuesday, West Ham and Burnley could end up in a bidding war for a Ligue 1 forward this summer.

The player targeted by both the Hammers and the Clarets is Amiens’ Moussa Konaté, who enjoyed a very good first season in Ligue 1 with the promoted side, scoring 13 goals in 33 league appearances.

The 25-year-old arrived from FC Sion last summer for around £3m after spells with Maccabi Tel Aviv, FK Krasnodar and Genoa, meaning the French club aren’t all that keen to see their top scorer leave so soon.

As well as West Ham and Burnley, a club from Saudi Arabia are said to be after the Senegal international, who is currently with his country in Russia for the World Cup.

Also able to play a bit wider if needs be, Konaté is valued at around €15m by Amiens, which is the minimum France Football believe he’ll be allowed to leave for.

If he has a good World Cup and Senegal go far, that price could also go up…

Something for Manuel Pellegrini and Sean Dyche to think about.
