Real Madrid could look to stun Liverpool by joining the race for a £53million Lyon star, according to reports from Spain.
Los Blancos are expected to make changes to their squad despite winning a third successive Champions League title, with big names linked such as Mo Salah and Eden Hazard.
Nabil Fekir is the latest name that the Real board are considering in their attempts to revamp the front line, having finished 17 points behind Barcelona in LaLiga.
Diario Gol claims that a move for Salah has become unlikely due to recent bad blood between the clubs following the Champions League final.
PSG duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are being discussed as possible targets, the report claims, but Fekir has now entered the conversation too.
Fekir’s agent has suggested that the move to Liverpool could still be alive despite the numerous hitches.
The forward did admit that he had met Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas at France’s training camp on Monday, but that no discussions were held over a summer exit.
“It was great to see Jean-Michel Aulas yesterday at Istra but we did not at all discuss my situation at Lyon,” he said.
When asked about whether Liverpool were trying to lower his valuation by airing concerns over his knee, Fekir replied: “You know I am here with France, I am happy, and I am not here to discuss my personal situation.
“We will see about all that later.”
He added: “My knee is super good. We work a lot on it, we reinforce it. But I honestly feel like before my injury.”
