UEFA punishment will not affect PSG plan for Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain has received another hit from UEFA for breaching the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules and it is reported that it will not affect their plans for Neymar, according to report in Marca. The body established to regulate and control club’s finances found the French Champions guilty of breaching the FFP rules.Punishment would be met out for PSG, and according to precedent the punishment will go in line with what was already applied to the Parisian club in 2014, but more severe. If at that time PSG were allowed a deficit of 60 million in the balance between purchases and sales of players, this time it could be zero.In other words, the French side would be restricted to buying players for the same amount as the ones they sell, with the need still to pay the transfer of Kylian Mbappe, which is 145 million euros plus 35 in bonus.Despite that, the club’s main objective to keep Neymar and Mbappe in the squad remains unshaken. At the moment PSG has a lot of players with great market value and it is left with the new coach Thomas Tuchel to decide to decide who stays or who leaves but there are few players who are willing to leave such as Angel Di Maria, Marco Verratti, Adrien Rabiot, who has yet to renew his contract, and even Goncalo Guedes, who has been linked to Valencia after spending the last season with the Mestalla outfit.UEFA report that PSG’s sponsorship agreements signed with different sponsors such as QTA, QNB and Ooredoo, are all linked together and the shareholder-owned by the club, are above their market value.UEFA is of the view that PSG has been punished for the similar offence in 2014 for increasing the value of the contract with the tourist offices of Qatar.
