TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
The San Jose Earthquakes could be in line to add a second Georgian International to their roster in central defender Guram Kashia, according to a new report.
Joel Soria, editor in chief of the Quakes fan website Quakes Epicenter, reports a deal could be agreed to by the end of the coming week to secure Kashia from Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem.
I’m being told that Guram Kashia’s transfer to #Quakes74 isn’t finalized yet, but will likely get completed this upcoming week.

The 30-year-old Kashia would be joining former Vitesse teammate Valeri “Vako” Qazaishvili as the second Georgian on San Jose’s roster.
Once eligible to officially join the squad when the MLS Secondary Transfer Window opens on July 10, Kashia would presumably slide into the center of a defense that has conceded 29 goals in its 14 matches, tied for the third-most in the league this season.
Kashia has been with Vitesse since 2010, captaining the side for most of that tenure. He’s made 257 Eredivisie appearances over eight seasons, and 14 more in Europa League competition.
