Nabil Fekir to Liverpool

Liverpool may have to wait until after the World Cup to complete the signing of Fekir after new Reds arrival Fabinho pleaded with the Lyon forward to join him at Anfield. Speaking after France’s 2-0 friendly win over the Republic of Ireland, Fekir said he’ll only discuss his future after the tournament in Russia. But, according to The Daily Mail, Liverpool will open talks with Lyon this week over a £53 million switch for the France international.

Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City

Premier League champions Manchester City are edging closer to completing a £75m deal for Mahrez, with just the structure of the fee to be negotiated. City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain is in negotiations with Leicester City and Mahrez could become City’s first arrival of the summer after their failed attempt to sign the Algerian winger in the summer. The Daily Mail also report Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey has been considered by Pep Guardiola.

Jack Grealish to Manchester United

Aston Villa’s failure to win the Championship play-off final and concerns over their financial situation has heightened the potential of star playmaker Grealish leaving with United weighing-up a move. The Sun claim United boss Jose Mourinho is an admirer of Grealish, 22, as he looks to bolster his midfield this summer with Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred poised to arrive. The England under-21 international, however, is seen as more of a player for the long term.

Martin Skrtel to Newcastle United

Rafael Benitez has been offered the opportunity to reunite with Skrtel, a decade after first signing him for Liverpool. Fenerbahce centre-back Skrtel, 33, has only a year left on his contract in Istanbul and is available for a cut-price fee. The Chronicle claim Newcastle have been made aware of Skrtel’s availability and desire to return to English football with Steven Gerrard’s Rangers also understood to be in the market for the Slovakian.

Fabio Borini to West Ham United

Former Liverpool, Swansea City and Sunderland forward Borini has emerged as a surprise transfer target of West Ham who are monitoring his situation at AC Milan. Borini, 27, recently turned his loan move into a permanent switch but the Serie A side are facing financial fair play sanctions and may be forced into a quick sale. Calciomercato report that Napoli have also shown an interest and Borini would prefer a transfer to the Stadio San Paolo due to his close relationship with incoming coach Carlo Ancelotti.
