Bale, Ronaldo’s staggering CL symmetry

AN incredibly spooky symmetry has emerged between the bicycle kicks scored by Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, while UEFA has made another baffling venue decision.

Its a bonus edition of Champions League final Extra Time!

SPOOKY BICYCLE SYMMETRY

Gareth Bale’s incredible bicycle kick stunned the world in the Champions League final, and now a spooky symmetry has emerged surrounding the jaw dropping strike.

The Welshman’s aerobatic effort wasn’t the first of its kind to light up Real Madrid’s European campaign this season, with Cristiano Ronaldo producing a similarly magnificent effort in the quarter final stage against Juventus.

And now it has been revealed that both strikes took place in exactly the same minute of the match, more specifically an eerie two seconds apart on the clock.

Bale’s Kiev finish occurred as the timer read 63 minutes and one second, while Ronaldo found the net at precisely 63 minutes and 3 seconds.

Spooky.

UEFA’ BAFFLING VENUE CALL

European football’s governing body copped a fair bit of flak for their decision to hold the Champions League final in Kiev, as the Ukrainian capital failed to cope with the influx of fans from worldwide.

But their latest venue decision shapes as even more baffling.

As Real were crowned champions once again, they set up a mouthwatering UEFA Super Cup final derby against crosstown rivals Atletico Madrid.

Logically, you’d think the game could be played somewhere close to Spain, to minimize travel time and hassle for fans – UEFA thought otherwise.

The UEFA Super Cup will be played on 15 August in Tallinn, Estonia.

There’s no logic or mathematics or any sort of thought pattern that can explain that bemusing decision.

KLOPP SINGS WITH FANS IN THE AM

His side may have gone down in the final, but Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp put his bitter disappointment aside to spend some time with Reds fans in the aftermath of the match.

The German boss was videoed singing with supporters in Kiev.

“We saw the European Cup, Real Madrid had all the f****** luck. We swear we’ll keep on being cool. And bring it back to Liverpool,” sang the fans he was in a group with.

Klopp has now lost his last six major finals as a manager.
