Week 12 of the 2018 MLS regular season featured standout offensive performances from some of the league’s biggest stars, including strikers for both New York squads.
Bradley Wright-Phillips made the team after scoring two goals against Atlanta United in a 3-1 win, and is joined by two other Red Bulls teammates on the team. Goalkeeper Ryan Meara and center back Aaron Long also made the bench to bring the Red Bulls’ Week 12 total to five.
Audi Player Index Spotlight
This week’s spotlight player is Toronto FC midfielder Ryan Telfer, who scored his first MLS goal in a 2-1 win over Orlando City SC. Telfer earned the Audi Player Index Performance of the Week, picking up 1,115 points, best in MLS. In addition to his game-winning goal (285 points) and his five take-ons won (175 points), he completed 65 percent of his passes in the opposition half.
