NEW Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel hailed Neymar as “an artist” and says he needs “special treatment”.
Former Borussia Dortmund chief Tuchel has moved to the French club on a two-year deal.
He spoke to the media for the first time since his arrival was confirmed.
And the talk quickly got around to his £198million forward, who has been linked with Real Madrid.
The German, 44, said: “Artists are special players, they need special treatment, it’s common sense.
“I met him last Sunday and it was a very good meeting.
“He’s an artist, an exceptional player, one of the best in the world.”
Neymar won the French Player of the Prize for a fine first campaign at Parc des Princes despite not being ruled out since February with a foot injury.

He has also been named in Brazil’s World Cup squad.
Although rumours of Madrid’s interest continue to mount, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has denied that the 26-year-old will be leaving this summer.
Tuchel added: “I met a very friendly, very open guy for the first time.
“We started talking about soccer and I saw a smile on his face and that is what I want to see.
“If we find a way to build a structure around him, so he can show all his talent on the pitch, I think we have a key player to win our games.”
