The Cameroon international found the back of the net as Le Racing stunned Bruno Genesio’s men to retain their French top-flight status
Stephane Bahoken was on target as Strasbourg pulled off a shocking 3-2 win over Lyon in Saturday’s league meeting to retain their French Ligue 1 status for next season.
The dramatic victory saw them move four points clear of 18th-placed Toulouse with just a league game remaining in the 2017-18 campaign.
Bahoken broke the deadlock at the Stade de la Meinau to put the hosts ahead in the 22nd minute.
The 25-year-old’s effort – his seventh goal in the Ligue 1 this campaign – stood as the only difference between both teams in the opening 45 minutes.
However, after the restart, Liverpool target Nabil Fekir equalised from the penalty spot with Houssem Aouar adding a second to put Lyon in control of the game.
But Thierry Laurey’s side turned the tide around to secure their safety within few minutes in the closing stages.
