NEYMAR wants to join Real Madrid as he has failed to settle at PSG, according to reports.

The world’s most expensive footballer would break his own transfer record if he moved however, with the French giants believed to want £228million for their superstar.

Neymar joined PSG from Barcelona in August last year for an eye-watering £198m fee.

While the untold riches he would get were obviously one of the key reasons for the move, many were surprised he had decided to test himself in Ligue 1.

And now Spanish newspaper AS are reporting that the Brazilian is desperate for a return to La Liga – but not with Barcelona but their arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Their club president Florentino Perez is well-known for delivering the side with a ‘Galactico’ – and he is ready to make Neymar that expensive gift.

The 26-year-old has scored 26 goals in 29 games in all competitions for the French champions this season, but has not played since late February due to injury.

The Brazilian left the field in tears on a stretcher during PSG’s 3-0 win against Marseille, and it was later revealed he had suffered a sprained ankle and fractured metatarsal.

But he was full of laughter this week after cheering his team-mates to a magnificent treble.

PSG beat minnows Les Herbiers 2-0 in the Coup de France to add this piece of silverware to the Ligue 1 title and the Coup de la Ligue.
