‘Imagine the link-ups and dribbles’ – Chelsea fans urge Ligue 1 star to reject Liverpool switch

Chelsea could be set to make a move for Lyon star Nabil Fekir this summer, according to reports emerging from France.

Amid talk of a move to either Arsenal or Liverpool, the 24-year-old could in fact be set to head to west London before the start of next season as he looks set to depart the Ligue 1 club.

The midfielder has scored 22 goals this term and the French side are believed to want around £60million for his services.

Following talk of Liverpool reportedly agreeing a fee for the highly-rated player, L’Equipe have now claimed that the Blues are serious contenders for his signature.

However, the French international has stated that he is focused on his side’s remaining games at present.

“There’s nothing for the moment. I’m still at Lyon,” Fekir said after Lyon’s win over Troyes.

“There are two matches left. We’ll prepare for them in the best possible way.

“At the end of the season, we’ll see, but for the moment, there’s nothing.”

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas also issued an update on his player’s future at the club following the reports of a deal with Liverpool.

“No. If we had negotiated and signed [a deal], I would be the first to know,” said Aulas.

“No, there hasn’t been contact with Liverpool today. I am a bit surprised by this story.

“I also want to say there was no agreement in Nabil’s contract allowing him to leave.

“Simply, when he signed his professional contract, we said on the day when he wished [to go], he could come to me to find an agreement. It can be this year, next year, in two years…”

Here’s what Chelsea fans have had to say about a move for Fekir.
