Changhoon Kwon was on target as Dijon FCO won 3-1 against En Avant Guingamp on Sunday to inch closer to the top half of the Ligue 1 Conforama table.
Dijon FCO 3-1 EA Guingamp
THE MATCH
Guingamp had not lost in five league games, but Dijon were clearly determined to avenge their 4-0 loss to the Bretons earlier in the season.
Kwon had a goal ruled out (6′) after he was ruled offside before the South Korea international latched onto a Valentin Rosier through ball and fired home his tenth of the season (34′).
Kwon’s touch very nearly saw Naïm Sliti double the hosts’ lead (54′) before Guingamp equalised against the run of play. Félix Eboa Eboa was the unlikely scorer, heading home a Clément Grenier free-kick for his first-ever Ligue 1 Conforama goal (57′).
Dijon came up with a goalscoring defender of their own, Cédric Yambére, to go ahead again eight minutes later – the former Girondins de Bordeaux man heading home a Sliti corner (65′).
Sliti missed another chance (86′) before the Tunisian finally found his scoring touch, firing home after being picked out by Julio Tavares (90+1′) to give Olivier Dall’Oglio’s men a first win in four.
THE PLAYER: Naim Sliti
The Tunisian showed some quality touches and was finally rewarded with the goal his performance deserved. With seven league strikes and five assists, he has been one of the main reasons Dijon have enjoyed their campaign.
THE STAT: 1
This was Dijon’s first-ever Ligue 1 win over Guingamp at their fourth attempt.
