Jorginho’s agent plans to hold talks with Napoli amid growing interest in the Italy international midfielder.
Jorginho, 26, has been linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, and agent Joao Santos said “several clubs” had expressed an interest.
“I’ll talk about it with the club because Jorginho has another two years on his current deal, but we need to understand whether Napoli would like to capitalise on their first-teamers or not,” he told Radio CRC.
“At the moment, all we know is that [Pepe] Reina will leave.”
Jorginho, who joined Napoli from Hellas Verona in 2014, has played in 30 of their 35 Serie A fixtures this season but was substituted after 10 minutes of the 3-0 defeat at Fiorentina when defender Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off.
“After the red card, playing with a two-man midfield, it was right to take Jorginho off and not Allan or [Marek] Hamsik,” Santos said.
“Unfortunately it was not a great game for Napoli at Fiorentina, and now only Bologna or Roma can change the situation [in the Serie A title race].
“Fiorentina seemed like Manchester City. Everybody gives 110 percent against Napoli, and then it became more complicated with Koulibaly’s red card.
“We knew it was going to be hard for Napoli to get 12 points because I was sure Juve would drop a few points, but Napoli had to win them all.”
