Danny Rose to Manchester United
Jose Mourinho seems determined to upgrade his full-back positions this summer, which could mean an offer for Tottenham defender Rose. The 27-year-old is under contract until 2021, meaning a fee in the region of the £53 million Manchester City paid for Kyle Walker last summer may be necessary. According to the Guardian, Manchester United might have moved for the full-back in January had it not been for an injury, but remain convinced that a player of Rose’s quality is exactly what they need to catch their cross-city rivals next season.
Robert Lewandowski to Real Madrid
Lewandowski is on his way to Real Madrid this summer and there’s very little Bayern Munich can do to stop him. At least that’s what former Madrid president Ramon Calderon believes. Speaking to The Sun, Calderon stated that Harry Kane was the long-term target for the Spanish giants but Lewandowski would be a perfect stop-gap. The Polish forward is seemingly intent on pushing through the move, which, according to the former president, tends to mean it will happen sooner rather than later.
Eliaquim Mangala to Wolves
Wolves look set to bolster their newly promoted squad with the acquisition of back-up Manchester City central defender Mangala. The 27-year-old only has one year left on his contract at the Etihad and has long since been surplus to requirements for Pep Guardiola. The defender turned down a £21m move to Crystal Palace last summer and had a loan to Everton cut short this season due to a knee injury, but may seek a new start and regular playing time at Molineux.
Kalidou Koulibaly to Chelsea
Chelsea may be willing to fork out for Napoli defender Koulibaly this summer, with reports in Italy suggesting the Premier League side are prepared to match the Senegalese defender’s release clause of £65m. Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the 26-year-old, which may be why the London club are willing to pay a little extra to get the deal over the line.
Andres Iniesta to Manchester City
Pep Guardiola may be preparing to obstruct Iniesta’s potential move to China, with Spanish newspaper AS suggesting that he wants his former playmaker in a City shirt next season. Reports have also linked Iniesta with moves to Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain, but in Manchester he would be playing under a coach he knows very well and be allowed to come in and out of the squad with relative ease.
