Giovani Lo Celso scored the only goal as Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain edged past Bordeaux 1-0 to maintain their pursuit of the 100-point mark.
PSG did not have it all their own way, with Lo Celso denied by Benoit Costil and Javier Pastore heading wide before the break.
But in the 76th minute, Argentinian midfielder Lo Celso found the back of the net with a half-volleyed shot off his left boot.
The capital club now have four games remaining from which to find the 10 points they need to reach an historic century of points earned. Their own record tally is 96 points in one campaign.
Earlier, Pierre Lees-Melou scored the only goal as Nice beat Montpellier 1-0 at the Allianz Riviera to edge closer to Europa League football next season.
Lees-Melou broke the deadlock just before the hour when he took a pass from Allan Saint-Maximin outside the penalty area and crashed a low right-footed shot into the bottom corner.
It was a vital strike for Nice as it lifted them into fifth place in the table, two points above Rennes and four better off than Montpellier, who would have leapfrogged their hosts in the race for a top-six finish had they avoided defeat.
Ellyes Skhiri and Giovanni Sio both went close for Montpellier in the first half, while Nice also spurned several chances either side of the interval.
St Etienne stayed in the hunt for a Europa League place after coming from behind at home to beat Troyes 2-1 thanks to Robert Beric’s second-half double.
Adama Niane gave Troyes an early lead and St Etienne trailed until the 68th minute when Beric slid home the equaliser before firing the winner six minutes later. Both goals were assisted by Romain Hamouma.
St Etienne extended their unbeaten league run to 12 matches and climbed up to sixth place, within a point of Nice, while Troyes, winless in nine, remain third from bottom, four points from safety.
