Chelsea will take on Arsenal, Inter Milan and Sevilla in the European section of the International Champions Cup as part of their preseason preparations for the 2018-19 campaign.
They are scheduled to face Sevilla at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw on July 28 before travelling from Poland to Sweden for matches against Inter at Gothenburg’s Ullevi Stadium on Aug. 1 and Arsenal at the Friends Arena in Stockholm three days later.
It is the fifth year that Chelsea have participated in the ICC. They played two matches in Singapore last summer, losing 3-2 to Bayern Munich and 2-1 against Inter. They also faced Arsenal in a separate friendly staged in Beijing, beating their London rivals 3-0 at the Bird’s Nest.
The ICC fixtures, dates and venues were announced at an event in Miami on Tuesday with Michael Essien in attendance on behalf of Chelsea.
The match against Sevilla will take place just five days after Chelsea face Perth Glory in Australia at the new Optus Stadium.
It is unlikely that they will arrange any more high-profile friendlies between the World Cup and the start of the new Premier League season on the second weekend of August.
