Transfer Talk Chelsea join the race for Sao Paulo starlet Eder Militao

Antonio Conte addresses more questions surrounding his future at Chelsea and concedes the Blues deserve to sit in fifth after their 3-1 defeat to Tottenham.

Clubs are slowly turning their eyes toward the summer window; Transfer Talk has the updates on all the latest rumours.

Chelsea join battle for Brazilian starlet

Chelsea have joined the race to sign Brazilian starlet Eder Militao, the Mirror reports, with Manchester United and Manchester City also keen.

The Blues are interested in the 20-year-old, who is reportedly valued at £20 million by his club Sao Paulo.

Chelsea particularly value his versatility, having seen the player demonstrate an ability to play both in defence, predominantly at centre-back, or in midfield.

Porto and Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring the situation for one of South America’s most promising players.

Blues enquire about Seri availability

Chelsea are fast approaching a pivotal summer, so you can expect the speculation over Blues targets to ramp up in the coming weeks.

The Mail claims that an enquiry has been made for Nice star Jean Michael Seri, and that he will be allowed to leave the club should the Blues — or any other club, for that matter — match his £34.8m price tag.

Barcelona appeared destined to sign the 26-year-old midfielder last summer, only for the deal to fall through, but Chelsea could now swoop, ahead of both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Everton to sign the Ivorian.

The Mail continues on Chelsea’s plans by detailing that with or without Antonio Conte, they are looking to add another winger and a centre-back.

Evans to snub Arsenal in hope of City move

Jonny Evans will reject a move to Arsenal this summer in hope of landing a transfer to Manchester City, according to the Mirror.

The West Brom star is almost certain to leave at the end of the season with the Baggies destined for the drop.

The 30-year-old will be available for just £3m because of a relegation clause, but will still hold out for his dream move to the Etihad.

The Gunners have been long-term admirers of the Northern Ireland international, while City were just £2m away from matching West Brom’s valuation in January.

Tottenham line up Masuaku

Tottenham are prepared to anger bitter rivals West Ham by making a £20m move for Arthur Masuaku, writes the Sun.

The interest in the former Olympiakos star, who cost the Hammers just £6.2m in 2016, suggests Danny Rose will depart this summer.

The 24-year-old is also on the radar of Chelsea and Monaco, but is reported to be content at the London Stadium for now.

Tap-ins

– Chelsea are set on Maurizio Sarri to replace Antonio Conte this summer, according to the Mirror. The report states that the Napoli boss has been approached about taking over at Stamford Bridge, with his free-flowing, attack-minded football appealing to the Blues.

– Monaco have expressed an interest in re-signing Tiemoue Bakayoko from Chelsea just a year after pocketing £40m from the Blues, reports the National. After a woeful debut season at Stamford Bridge, it’s reported that that Les Rouges et Blancs are prepared to save him.

– MLS club D.C. United, in addition to previously reported interest in Mario Balotelli, are also targeting Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Carlos Tevez, with a new billionaire set to come aboard, according to the Washington Post.
