He’s the Kwon! Korean wins it for Dijon

Kwon Chang-Hoon got the only goal of the game as Dijon FCO won 1-0 at Toulouse FC, leaving their opponents still too close to the drop zone for comfort.

Toulouse FC  0 – 1  Dijon FCO

THE MATCH

Toulouse came into this game under huge pressure to end their winless run and pull themselves clear of the bottom three. However, it was Dijon who went in front early on at Le Stadium. The match was only 10 minutes old when South Korean star Kwon pounced to score after Alban Lafont had saved an initial attempt from Wesley Saïd.

It was Kwon’s eighth Ligue 1 Conforama goal of an impressive season, his second in as many games. He was unlucky not to score again, with Lafont making a fine save to deny him on the hour mark.

Dijon held on, though, to record a first win in five, and just a second away victory of the campaign, their first since October.

THE PLAYER: Kwon Chang-Hoon

Kwon, signed from Suwon Bluewings in his homeland midway through last season, is enjoying an impressive first full season in France and he was the match-winner here after being recalled to the starting line-up by coach Olivier Dall’Oglio.

THE STAT: 8

Toulouse have now gone eight games without a victory after winning their first two matches under Mickaël Debève. Luckily, defeats for the sides below them mean Toulouse are still a point above the bottom three.
