Udinese play in 11 different shirts for Serie A match vs. Lazio

In what surely must be a first, Udinese took to the field for their league tie against Lazio on Sunday wearing 11 different shirts.

Each player wore an individual replica of the last 10 home shirts Udinese have sported over the past decade.

Udinese took full advantage of the rule that states a team’s kit doesn’t necessarily have to match, it merely has to be “clearly and obviously distinguishable” from that of their opponents.

Anyway, the upshot is that the club have since auctioned off the 11 match-worn shirts in the name of charity, raising thousands of Euros for good causes.

Fantastico.
