FRENCH side FC Tours have announced 18-year-old defender Thomas Rodriguez has died.
The Ligue 2 side have given no details on how the full-back died other than it happened sometime between the evening of March 8 and the following morning.
A minute’s silence will be held before all Ligue 1 and 2 games this weekend.
The tragedy comes five days after Fiorentina captain Davide Astori died suddenly.
A club statement said: “Tours FC is shattered by this tragedy, which plunges the club into immense sadness.
“The club extends its deepest condolences to the family, loved ones, all of Thomas’s team-mates and friends, and gives them all their support in these difficult times.”

The French Professional Football League said: “At this moment of great sadness, the LFP extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of Thomas Rodriguez, as well as to all his team-mates and to the Club of Tours FC.”

Tours were due to play Valenciennes this weekend but the match has been postponed.
