Toby Alderweireld to Paris Saint-Germain
The Ligue 1 leaders are reportedly willing to match a number of Alderweireld’s demands in an attempt to beat Manchester United to his signature. The Belgian wants a five-year deal as well as close to £200,000-per-week according to reports in the Daily Mail. Current employees Tottenham Hotspur aren’t prepared to meet either of these stipulations and manager Mauricio Pochettino has already told the 29-year-old he can leave this summer. Paris Saint-Germain will view him as a long-term successor to Thiago Silva at the heart of the defence.
Kristoffer Ajer to Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham could already have a replacement for Alderweireld lined up. TeamTalk recently reported interest in the Norway international alongside Watford, Southampton and Borussia Dortmund. It’s the latter who are current front-runners for the 19-year-old but Manuel Akanji’s arrival in January may make it difficult for them to convince the versatile defender that he has a path into the first-team. Ajer has a contract with Celtic until 2020 and is considered to be a key part of Brendan Rodgers’ squad.
Paulo Dybala to Real Madrid
After a disappointing season on the domestic front, plans are underway at Bernabeu to reinforce Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid squad. With Neymar proving unobtainable this summer it is reported Dybala is the club’s top summer transfer target. This may be helped by the fact Juventus have already identified a replacement: PSV Eindhoven’s Hirving Lozano has done enough in the Eredivisie to convince the Serie A champions he can cut it in a better league.
Rodrigo Battaglia to West Ham United
Undeterred after failing to land William Carvalho last summer, West Ham want to do business with Sporting Lisbon again. Battaglia is viewed as a cheaper option to his partner in midfield and this, according to O Jogo, is one of the reasons David Moyes wants to add him to his squad. The former Manchester United manager is reported to want a high-energy ball-player in the heart of his midfield and believes the Argentine fits the bill.
Malcom to Paris Saint-Germain
Tottenham and Arsenal could miss out on Malcom after Paris Saint-Germain entered the race for the Brazilian forward. France Football report that Antero Henrique, PSG’s sporting director, has looked at the financials to work out the best way to approach the €40 million-rated star. His close relationship with Elenko Sports, Malcom’s representatives, puts him in a favourable position to negotiate and the Ligue 1 leaders are in the market for a winger to replace Lucas Moura.
